It’s a great block with friendly and welcoming neighbors who are professors and professionals. Since Ramsey is not a through street, it’s quiet and traffic is low. The area is great for walking, running, and biking. We love to stroll with our baby over to Barry Park, the Real Food Co-op, and over to Westcott Street. When I worked at Syracuse University, I would commute by foot or bike whenever the weather permitted. It’s easy to access downtown, the hospitals, and shopping. We’ve enjoyed updating and renewing the home while maintaining the original 1920s character. The house has gorgeous original red oak hardwoods throughout the first and second floors (refinished in 2010). The huge kitchen with quartz countertops (no maintenance!) has room for multiple people preparing food at the same time or hanging out. The open first floor has been ideal for hosting and entertaining. The third floor is great as a master suite or private guest space with second full bathroom.
