Why We Love
"We have lived on Greenwood Place for over 20 years. It is a quiet street with friendly neighbors in all stages of life. It has been a wonderful place to raise a family. We have enjoyed many years of gathering with neighbors and enjoying cookouts. The front porch lends itself to converse with folks passing by.
The property backs up to the peaceful woods of Thornden Park. The back lower porch is a serene place for a morning cup of coffee while enjoying the birds singing. The patio is a wonderful area to share a meal and the double wide lots lends to plenty of space for activities. The upper screened in porch is the perfect place for an afternoon of reading or a nap.
Walking distance to Syracuse University and to Westcott St. to take advantage of the many restaurants, coffee shops and music venues. Two blocks to Thornden Park -home to the rose garden and partake in a variety of activities including swimming, basketball/tennis courts and a safe place to walk/jog as well as theater in the park and a lovely location to enjoy sunsets and star gazing.
The house has transitioned along with our family’s changing needs. The house was a spacious family home with an attic that served as a teen hang out and later as a craft /art studio. The last several years the second floor was utilized for college friends and adult children to live privately. This property provides many private options to work from home."
