In The Ivy Boutique

Have you heard about In the Ivy Boutique? We recently met with the owner, Kayla A. to learn more about what she does!

Kayla started In the Ivy Boutique in November of 2019 after graduating from the College at Brockport University with her Bachelors of Science in Marketing. Initially, she wasn't sure how she wanted to use her degree, but knowing she had a passion for entrepreneurship and fashion, she asked herself, “Why not combine the two?”. This is when she decided to become a business owner, and In the Ivy boutique was born!

Kayla runs this business completely on her own, with occasional help from her friends who model her products. From accounting, to marketing, to everything in between, she does it all herself! 

At the beginning of the pandemic, Kayla decided she wanted to help out in any way she could for the ones who were doing the most. She came up with an idea to contribute to the efforts of first responders and began making headbands with buttons to release pressure around their ears from masks! In true entrepreneur fashion, Kayla is also currently working full-time at Terakeet in Downtown Syracuse while continuing to grow her business. She loves engaging with the community by doing “pop-ups” around the Syracuse area, and already has her next one planned for sometime in March. 

Kayla is a huge advocate for Mental health and is always trying to incorporate awareness for it in any of the products that she offers. She is super excited to release her new Valentine’s Day products and is so looking forward to all that 2022 has in store for her and her business!
